During the past three years the MAPPER project developed and deployed tools and services to support distributed multiscale computing over European e-infrastructures.

MAPPER brings generic multiscale modelling and seamless (distributed) multiscale computing to science and engineering in Europe. MAPPER has already trained and supported not only scientists within the project, but also a growing external user base, and MAPPER partners continue to do so, relying on an extended set of freely available training materials and tutorials. By using MAPPER, we were able to develop complicated multiscale models, and execute huge multiscale simulations by relying on aggregated computing power available in Europe. This resulted in remarkable new insights and discoveries, published in a growing body of scientific papers.

Although the official MAPPER project finished end September 2013, the consortium agreed to continually provide additional material as it becomes available for further investigating the exciting world of multiscale computing.
